When you play keyboard bass you have to think like a bass player.

I said there you may need to look at your stage amps. Richard, this thread is an offshoot of your comment about muddy bass in your blues thread. the technical side, that you responded to very wellĪND the empirical acoustic side, aka who has actually DONE this? Now, a further issue of merging sound, is merging with a drummer and a guitar player etc. The Kurz pc88 solved the merging of sounds issue.

It seems like a gamble, which is why I have avoided doing this. Just because the Trilian sounds superior to the old ac bass in eg my Kurz pc88, does not mean it will sound well in a blend with my chosen soft synth AP and or EP. Just because a bass sounds good in isolation does not mean it will blend well either with other instruments being merged with the various soft synths ( strings- AP- EP- Bass ) OR with the Band! My old PC88, combines 4 different sounds very well AP DP Strings and an Ac Bass- and the AC Bass does not sound as cool as the Trillian bass. What I was referring to besides my being in the dark about using a soft synth ( you are on the money, thank you again ) is the fact that you never know how things are going to sound on the gig, the specific combinations of piano with bass. Thank you for taking the time, appreciate it. You usually have to set that up in advance, so I recommend having some templates in place. I've used combinations of this stuff in rehearsals with no real issues except changing patches quickly. Pianoteq (AP + EP), NI Pianos, Ivory, TrueKeys, TruePianos, Lounge Lizard 4 (EPs), one of a zillion Kontakt libraries, and in the case of Mainstage 2, the built-in pianos (passable) and EPs (quite good!), etc.

If you're asking about which EP/AP piano software to get. Here's a thread on another forum re: Trillian specifically: It covers the host software, the audio I/O.etc.
#Keyboard sounds trilian Pc#
Using a laptop/giggable PC means selecting host software (such as Mainstage 2 for OS X, Cantabile Performer/Brainspawn Forte for PC, or Ableton Live), then setting up your patches there. However, you may want controls to balance relative volumes of instruments, although those controls don't have to be built into the keyboard (grab a cheap NanoKontrol or similar for that). Whether the keyboard can do splitting or zoning doesn't necessarily matter, as your host software will do that for you. RE: keyboard, you'd pick whatever works for you in terms of keyboard feel, carry weight, etc. which has been covered a LOT on this forum.

This is really a "how do I use software instruments live" question. Wurli V2 v2.5.1 is an amazingly accurate physical model of Arturia classic electric piano Wurlitzer 200A.You're not really asking a Trillian-specific question. This classic organ has been used in numerous well-known songs of the greatest bands of the 60s, 80s, 90s and more modern. VOX Continental V2 v2.5.1 is the reincarnation of a vintage keyboard instrument from Arturia that brings back the classic sound of the famous VOX Continental 300 organ. The sound of “Clav” is so epoch-making that on most keyboards there is a patch that tries to imitate it.įarfisa V v1.5.1 – is an almost exact copy of the electronic organ Farfisa Compact Deluxe, which appeared on the music market in the mid-60s of the last century. No collection of keyboards would be complete without it. B-3 V2 v2.1.1 – emulation of the legendary electromechanical organ of Hammond, created in 1935.Ĭlavinet V v1.5.1 – models an electric keyboard that put funk into many hits of the 70s.
